Our Take

The 16234 straddles between the perfect blend of vintage and modern. The ref. 16234 was among the first five-digit offerings within the Datejust family, and importantly one of the first to also use a sapphire crystal. It also featured the jumping date and the newly updated Cal. 3135 movement.

This reference 16234 is in excellent pre-owned condition, showing only minor signs of wear. The bracelet shows light to moderate stretch. The dial and hands are pristine. While the service history is not known, the watch is tested to run within factory specifications, winding is smooth, and the case has been pressure tested ensuring proper water resistance.
