Originally launched in 1955 as a purpose-built anti-magnetic watch for engineers, it featured IWC’s in-house Caliber 852 and a soft iron inner case inspired by the Mark XI military watch. IWC introduced a slimmer of the Ingenieur version in the mid-1980s: this Reference 3506.

This watch retains Genta’s signature design in a more wearable size, with refined details like gold hour markers and a graph paper textured dial. Rare and underrated, the 3506 blends sport and elegance with timeless appeal.

This IWC reference IW3506 is in fair to good pre-owned condition with moderate wear. It was recently fully serviced and overhauled, runs flawlessly, and passed pressure testing. A service crown was installed due to stripped threads on the original, which is included. The case and bracelet remain unpolished and can be refinished upon request. Comes with the original inner and outer box. Overall this is a vintage treasure for the discerning IWC Collector that will be difficult to come across again.
